What we will be doing in 2020.

In 2020 the team will be working inside the south western quadrant of the last stone fort, starting to the south of the site of the granaries. This area has never before been subjected to a modern excavation and it is hoped that the archaeological sequence will stretch from the 9th century to the 1st century. A particular focus of the work will be to locate and excavate Severan period structures dating to the start of the 3rd century, hopefully a series of circular huts or roundhouses.

As soon as the excavation bookings open for 2020 a link will appear here to the booking form.
