Roman Pottery with Potted History

An event for the whole family and for all those sherd nerds out there. At the Roman Vindolanda Fort & Museum replica kiln learn about how the Romans made and used pottery and the different processes involved and explore the replica Roman kiln and learn about the ancient potters tools. Potted History will be on site to explore the subject and talk about their experiences of making Roman pots.

Plus we'll have finds handling in the activity centre from 1pm - 3pm - get hands on with some ancient pottery found at Vindolanda.
