Borderline Funny

Borderline Funny is a new exhibition exploring the depiction of ancient Rome's great northern frontier of Hadrian’s Wall in cartoons, and is the first exhibition dedicated to cartoons about Hadrian's Wall. From Roman era graffiti to cartoons from the 19c - 21c, some funny, some satirical, from Viz to Private Eye and the Newcastle Journal, and many works of the late archaeologist Roger Oram of the Arbeia Society.
