Vindolanda Trust – COVID-19 Updated 24th March 2020 - WE ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED.

In response to Government guidance on COVID-19 we regret to inform you that as of 20th March 2020 both Roman Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum are temporarily CLOSED.

At the Vindolanda Trust, the health, wellbeing and safety of our Staff, Volunteers and Visitors is our number one priority. We have a small team  ensuring the collection and site remain safe, and we will respond to email enquiries and online orders as soon as possible.

This is  rapidly changing situation and we don't yet have a date when we will be able to re-open. As soon as we have more information it will be posted on this page and our social media channels.

The Vindolanda Trust is a totally independent charity that can only continue to excavate, conserve, research and educate with the money we raise from visitors to Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum. The Trust does not receive annual income from any other source.

During these extremely challenging times we appreciate your support and thank you for your donations and online purchases, as well as looking forward to welcoming you in person once we are able to re-open.

You can also make a donation to our survival appeal.

Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe.
