Archaeological Assistant (ref VT/ARC 2019)
The Vindolanda Trust has an exciting fixed term archaeological job opportunity for 2019. The Trust is a Silver Award Investor in People organisation and invites interest from suitably qualified applicants.
Position: Archaeological Assistant (ref VT/ARC) Fixed term contract ( 6 months full time)
- Contract: Fixed term contract.
- Start Date: 25th March
- End date: 27th September
- Remuneration: £18,000 pro rata paid monthly by BACS
- Paid Holiday Entitlement: 16 Days, 10 Days to be taken (12th -23rd August)

Roman Vindolanda and Roman Army Museum customer service staff.
We have a couple of roles within the Customer Service team for 2019.

Join our volunteering team and become part of the Vindolanda experience.
Vindolanda Heritage Volunteer Guides
The Vindolanda Trust is looking for volunteers to join its heritage guiding team. This programme, now running for its seventh season has been very successful for the guides and the visiting public.
The volunteers deliver two 45 minute guided tour around the Vindolanda site each day (mostly Saturdays and Sundays) we ask for a commitment of at least 8 days per season (April-September).
Vindolanda Object Handling Volunteers
During the school holidays, our Object Handling volunteers interact with the visitor explaining different type of finds such as pottery and animal bones and putting the real artefacts into the visitors’ hands. You will be working with a small team of experienced volunteers.
