A beautifully woven basket was found at the bottom of a period 3 drainage ditch (circa 100 -105AD), in 2018.  It was probably a fishing basket, and intriguingly contained three iron keys. The basket is still in conservation. Basketry was a common craft in Roman times and wicker work baskets were used for a multitude of everyday purposes.
